Chris Oddie lives and works in Blackburn, UK. His work is expressionistic. In general, he works from the here and now. He does not use preliminary sketches, each drawing or painting stands as a finished piece. His method is to work quickly, reacting consciously and unconsciously to the subject by making an image of it, destroying that image and recreating it using shape and color until he feels the painting is complete. He uses different techniques but his goes out to oil paint.
